Highlights from the Cruise

Here are some highlights from our cruise - we took MANY pictures and I just wanted to share a few:

In Progresso at a Mexican Cemetery where after they bury a person, they remove the bones and place them in a smaller area as to reuse the burial space. Kind of creepy seeing real human bones displayed.
David on the infamous water slide on the cruise ship - it was a lot of fun!

Senor Frogs in Cozumel - me and Keely - it was SO loud and pretty obnoxious

Snorkel Adventure in Cozumel

In Cozumel we went on a catamaran, stopped to snorkel and then headed to a private beach. It was a lot of fun and quite the party on the boat. There was a guy taking professional pictures and they turned out great so I got them. Here's us under the water:

On the private beach here below - I tried to go parasailing but they wouldn't let me because someone at the last minute asked if I was pregnant. Oh well, there will be another chance someday...

Vacation to Houston and Cruise to Mexico!

I am downloading all of my pictures from my recent vacation but there is so much to say. We had such a good time - seeing family, getting to go on the cruise, seeing more family...

Let's just say this was the most upset Drew was to leave and go home. Nothing really persuaded him that it was okay to leave Texas but he did because he didn't have a choice. :)

Just to start, here's one of my favorite photos: my mom with us kids on our cruise. We were celebrating her 60th birthday!

Germantown, Maryland

Looks like the Pistorius family is moving once again! This time to Germantown, Maryland. David is already working there and on his new project. It's a great opportunity for him and thus for our family. It is right outside the D.C. area and should be a great place to live! Hopefully, we can secure housing this summer.

Milwaukee Zoo II

We took another opportunity on Family Free Day to go to the Milwaukee Zoo Saturday morning. We got there even before the zoo opened and it was a gorgeous day! Getting there early meant we could go and see the Cat Country without many others around. So, we saw the cheetahs play in the sun, the lions and tigers.
Dilan got out of the stroller and walked. Drew would get in front of her and coax her on - it was very cute and I got a good picture of it all. Dilan would get distracted by her own shadow which was funny to watch.
Drew and I in front of the giraffes.
Dilan did not want to leave the giraffes. She kept staring at them. :)
Drew, Dilan and me at the zoo.
The train ride was actually really neat - we didn't get to ride it the last time because of the insane line but we more than made up for it by riding it twice! We got our own private car which we loved.

Drew was in heaven on this train.
Daddy and his little girl.
Me and Dilan on the train. She was so content even though she was missing her morning nap as long as she has milk! You can also see baby bump here, seriously showing now.

Pure joy hanging out the side of the train.
Tired girl but a happy one.

Easter Morning

Easter morning was a lot of fun - The kids found their baskets outside on the porch (like I used to) and went hunting for eggs. It looked like we were the only ones outside participating in this wonderful Easter tradition but we had fun doing it. Drew was all about counting his eggs and had no problem going for it. Dilan was reluctant to get in the grass so you can see she reached as far as she could until we moved the eggs closer to the sidewalk.

At this point, Dilan thought it was more fun taking out the eggs she had already put in the basket.
Once we moved the eggs closer, she had no problem.
Not going in the grass for that egg.
I love this shot because it's David helping Dilan in the background and Drew taking center stage with all of his eggs.
The Easter bunny always hides one in the mailbox!
Tried to get a shot of the two kiddos inside after the hunt.
Drew leaving his basket and collecting eggs which was a much more effective technique at this point because the basket was getting heavier.
Ready to go outside for the hunt.
New Curious George socks from the Easter bunny.
and a new train shirt...

Egg Coloring

We had a great morning coloring Easter eggs. This is the first Easter we are having in our own home and not in Texas. I did learn that you have to put the eggs in and then boil the water or you might crack some eggs so we lost a few but we still had over a dozen to color for Drew. David and Drew did the coloring and I did the decorating after they were dried. We experimented and tried some new decorations this year which was fun. Drew loved coloring the eggs and it was a fun thing to do the three of us. Dilan was taking her morning nap. She will do great hunting for the eggs but is still to young to actually color them. What great memories and so much fun to do with our big four-year old (almost five-year old!) little boy.
