Special Friends Lunch

Drew invited MawMille to Special Friends Lunch this year at his school. She came without hesitation and we enjoyed a wonderful picnic lunch with Drew on Friday. Drew's request was chicken minis from Chick-fil-a so I ordered a meal for all three kids and each one of them ate every bit! First, we ate our lunch and then the kids played on the playground. It was a very special day indeed!

After playing at the playground, Drew wanted to show MawMille his work that was featured on the leader board at school. He was one of 14 students in the whole school whose work was displayed, and Drew's was a rocket ship that had to do with brainstorming and writing. He was so proud! We also went by his classroom and he showed MawMille around.

New beginnings...

They have actually broken ground on our house! It's very exciting as we've waited all summer for something to happen but the process has been very slow. Now, the digging for the plumbing has begun and the foundation should be poured shortly. We are hoping it will be finished in January, only a short time after the baby gets here. :)

First Day of Preschool 2012

My beautiful princess started preschool today. She was so excited that she got up, did her morning checklist, got dressed, and we even had time to paint her nails before school. She wore a dress her grandmother gave her asking me why she was wearing a church dress to school. I guess we need to find other places to wear dresses other than church! :) But I explained that she was to look her very best on the first day and she agreed. After we did her hair, we went outside for a few pictures and then off to school!
Drake really wanted to join in on the pictures too
Ms. Eileen and Dilan starting the morning off with playdo. Dilan walked right in and sat down with other classmates and got started playing.
Dilan was all set and didn't mind me leaving at all. Working on her playdo, she smiled at me as we said goodbye.
After school, I went to pick Dilan up and she was excited to see us. She ran to me and gave me a hug, asking me, "Are we going home now?" When I said, "yes," she said, "Good. I need to go home and take a nap!" She told me she was tired but that she had a lot of fun and loved her first day of school. Once in the car, I asked her more specifically what she did at school and she told me it was a secret. She then revealed to me that she had made something for me but couldn't tell me. Then she talked about how she "played, and played, and played." Dilan reported who was in her class, remembering the girls names but not the boys, and is excited to go back on Thursday. :)
