Our FIRST Visitors!

So, I got a call on Thursday night from my mom. She started talking to Drew saying, "You want me to come visit you?" Of course, I started to get nervous thinking he will really start to buy into that and don't get his hopes up kind-of-thing and when I got back on the phone, she said she and Sam were coming to visit us for the holiday weekend. I couldn't have been more excited and grateful.
Sure enough, she and Sam hopped on a plane early Friday morning and were here by Friday lunchtime. It was tremendous. I loved every minute of their visit with us. It made me feel I wasn't so far from home. It also made me feel very special that my mom loves us that much she couldn't wait to come and see us. Later she did say anytime I've moved, she's always been there to help me, find me a place to live, etc. and she couldn't help not knowing where exactly we were and she hated not being able to picture where I was living. I love my mom!

Friday, we went to lunch at Ted's where we ate bison burgers and then we showed my mom and Sam around Peachtree City. They took us to Carrabba's that night for dinner and here is a picture of Drew getting fed yummy spaghetti by Popo. Then, we went that night to watch the fireworks from the back of our trailblazer.

The fireworks were great - they do them over Peachtree City Lake. Tons and tons of people were out to watch them. David picked a good spot for us to see them and Drew had fun calling out the colors he saw in the sky.

Saturday, we went to the Coca-Cola Factory in Atlanta. (More pictures to come on that). But here Drew is with MawMille and Popo with tickets in hand. There was such a line, it was unreal so it was a very popular thing to do. Before we got to the Coca-Cola Factory, my mom and Sam took Drew to the toy store and bought him Harold, the helicopter, which is part of Thomas the Tank Engine figures and Drew continuously played with it all weekend flying Harold all around. What a special treat to have our family here!

yea visitors! Be sure to go to the Aquarium too - my boys love it and they have a really big children's play area. If you live close enough, it might be worth a membership. Maybe we can meet there sometime in the next 2 years while we are still living in the SE!
