Longhorn Baseball

Our family takes an annual spring trip to Austin each year to see a Longhorn baseball game. We haven't been able to go in years but since we're back, we made the trip and it was so much fun. We always go eat at Rudy's BBQ before the game.
Here's our family at the baseball game
Dilan and Drew with one of their cousins
Me and my mom and Drake in the stands
Drake and David (I have so much UT stuff for Drake but it's all in storage, poor kid)
As we took the kids to walk around, we saw Bevo! Dilan wasn't really sure about taking a picture with him but the boys were all about it. Hook 'Em Horns!!!
Me and my boys at the game - we actually got on tv during the seventh inning stretch. We were dancing to the cotton eyed joe and a cameraman liked what he saw I guess!
A definite must at the game - Dipping Dots! The kids love them, especially Drake!
The next day after staying in the hotel (which the kids think is the best thing about vacation), we all ate breakfast together and then went to Zilker park. There was a train to ride there and the kids loved it.
Us and the boys again
After the train ride, we got snow cones for the kids too. Drew picked watermelon flavor and Dilan chose pink bubble gum!

Drake enjoyed the snow cones too!

Drew's spring soccer picture

Drew is fortunate to have David as his soccer coach every year and as a benefit, they get a free picture together! I think it turned out well. :)

Spring Soccer 2012

David coached Drew's soccer team once again this year, and Drew's team was called the Rockets. They started off a little rocky but really improved through the season winning most of their games. Drew chose to be #15 because it's the day of his birthday in June. He even scored his first goal ever on the second-to-last game of the season! Instead of posting pictures for each week's game, I just waited until the end of the season to share the best ones.
GO DREW!!!
Drew cheering after his team scored a goal. The league technically does not keep score yet but the kids sure do!
Drew was more aggressive this year using his arms to bump a bit
our cute spectators

me and my oldest soccer player - I'm so proud of him
Dilan and her first flirting experience with another teammate's older brother on the sidelines. She was in awe of this kid as they threw the football back and forth.
Last huddle of the season
After trophies were dispersed, Drew took a picture with his Coach :) and of course, Dilan was an honorary team member

Easter 2012!

We didn't get to go to Houston for Easter this year because both Drew and Dilan had soccer games and Drew had his first flag football game on Saturday. It was just too hard to do both and because David is the coach of all 3 teams, we felt it was important to honor his responsibility to be here. And due to the very cute Easter baskets with names embroidered on them being in the storage unit, we went with some new Easter buckets this year. I like to do less candy and more little gifts so each of the kids got pajamas/clothes stuffed at the bottom of their bucket, a movie, books, and a toy of some kind along with candy that they each prefer.

Drew got the Encyclopedia Brown books which were David's favorites, a new Thomas movie, the train, Scruff, and the zoo train cars, 2 new pairs of pajamas, and only chocolate candy which he requested. Dilan got a new Strawberry Shortcake movie, a Strawberry shortcake book and a princess book, a new Barbie, a new outfit and a princess t-shirt, and gum which is her favorite thing ever along with some other candy. Drake got three new pairs of pajamas, a new Thomas movie, a new book, some rabbit ears and some new sippy cups (which again he will not drink out of but I had to try!) and some candy too. All in all, the kids enjoyed what the Easter bunny brought them.

Dressed in Sunday clothes and ready to hunt for the eggs! All of them did so well this year, even Drake, who completely got the hang of it once we showed him what to do.

All three of our kids at the end of our Easter egg hunt.
Found the last one on the window sill.

Easter Egg Dye 2012

Dying Easter eggs gets better and better as the kids get older. Dilan let David help her and she was able to use the egg dipper instead of her fingers!

Drew eyeing all of his color options, neon was new this year
